Youth Bursary Program - Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands

Are you a graduating or recently graduated Township Youth? Through the Youth Bursary Program, gradutating Township youth or recent graduats may be recognized for their outstanding achievements. Three awards are given out annually, for $1000, $600 an $400. Fill out the application below to be considered for a Youth Bursary. Be sure to complete all sections and submit by 11 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Part 2 - Application

List 8 senior (Grade 11 or 12) courses and the corresponding final grades. Try to demonstrate strength in a variety of subjects.

List any additional courses or academic activities that you have completed or are ongoing. (First Aid, Food Safety Handling, etc.)

Please tell us about your volunteer roles. We want to know: where/who you volunteered for; when and for how many hours; and a description of your volunteer roles.

How else are you civically engaged outside of volunteering with an organization or an event? Why is this important to our community?

Define "Leadership" in 100-300 words.

List and briefly describe your leadership roles. (ex. Student Council Member - represent students, plan events)

Describe your involvement in extracurricular activities such as school clubs, mentoring, tutoring, sports, music, theatre, dance, the arts, and student government.

List any awards received for your extra-curricular activities (e.g., volleyball MVP, attending provincial championships, winning an art contest, or receiving a volunteer recognition award.
