Please review our Road Cut Policy. There are fees for this permit according to the type and size of cut. Fees are subject to change upon Council approval.

1. Sketch - Provide a drawing or sketch of the proposed project.
2. Cost Estimate - Provide an itemized, estimated cost of the project. This amount will form your security deposit.
3. Certificate of Insurance - The Corporation of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands requires the applicant to provide a Certificate of Insurance evidencing Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00 per occurrence, including bodily injury, personal injury, contractural liability, non-owned automobile and cross liability and severability of interest clauses. The Township shall be named as Additional Insured under the policy, for the function, event or activity of this application. 
4. Traffic Management Plan - The Corporation of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands requires the applicant to provide a Traffic Management Plan for construction closures. The Traffic Management Plan should identify as accurately as possible the following:

- Description of the proposed works and land/road closures

- Identification and assessment of traffic impacts of proposed works

- Detail traffic management measures to ameliorate the impacts of proposed works, including detour routes, signage and devices that will be used. All signage must adhere to OTM Book 7

- Details of provisions made for emergency vehicles, heavy vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians

- Assessment of effect of proposed traffic management measures on traffic movements in adjoining streets.

Road Closure Notification

The Roads division requires notice of upcoming Road Closures. Please complete the Temporary Road Closing application indicating anticipated dates of closure.

Securities

• Fully refundable deposit must cover 100% of costs for work completed in the right-of-way

Declaration

Before submitting this application (the “application”), I agree as follows:

1. I am 19 years of age or older, and am legally authorized and have all the required approvals necessary to make this application.
2. This application will be received and reviewed by Township staff and submitting this application does not mean that it will be accepted.
3. I freely accept and fully assume all risks, dangers and hazards associated with the application; and that I acknowledge my responsibility to properly insure and protect myself against risks associated with the application;
4. I waive all claims arising from this Application that I have or may have in the future against the Township, its elected officials, officers, employees, volunteers and representatives associated with the Application (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Releasees");
5. I release the releasees from any and all liability for death or any loss, damage, injury or expense that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer arising from this application or due to any cause whatsoever;
6. I indemnify the releasees from any and all liability for any businesses losses, damage to property of or personal injury to, any third party, arising from my application including the rejection of this application;
7. I agree that this agreement is binding upon my heirs, next of kin executors, administrators, assigns and representatives in the event of my death or incapacity; that I have read this agreement and I understand its content; and that by signing it I am waiving certain legal rights which I or my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns may have against the releasees.
